Driver Arrested Following Crash In Stanton County

Driver Arrested Following Crash In Stanton County

At about 6:45 a.m. on Monday morning the Stanton County Sheriff’s office responded to and investigated a two vehicle accident that led to the arrest of one driver.

The accident on Hwy 24 about two miles East of Norfolk occurred when an eastbound car driven by Marcos Ramos-Reynoso, 30, of Pierce was turning off Hwy 24 into a business, when her vehicle was struck from behind by an eastbound vehicle driven by Zachary Mansfield, 21, of Norfolk.

Both drivers and a passenger in the Reynoso vehicle declined medical transport at the scene.

Mansfield was arrested for Driving During Suspension and jailed.  He had been cited for that offense earlier this weekend in Stanton County as well.

Reynoso was cited for No Driver’s License and No Valid Registration.  Airbags did deploy and both vehicles were considered to be total losses.
