Bridgeport man charged in 2017 NDOC disturbance

A Bridgeport man who is serving a life prison sentence in the 2016 “Body in a Barrel” case has been charged in connection to an April 7, 2017 fire and disturbance at the NDOC Diagnostic and Evaluation Center in Lincoln.

26-year-old Zachary Muller of Bridgeport, along with  27-year-old Matthew Pavey, 56-year-old Gage Capone, and 32-year-old Patrick Carey are charged with arson and other crimes in connection to the incident.

Prison officials say the disturbance on April 7 last year involved more than a dozen inmates and lasted less than two hours. No serious injuries to staff or inmates were reported.

Court records don’t list attorneys for them in the new cases.
