A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Monday at 2 pm to celebrate the beginning of construction of the new Donald E. Nielsen Career and Technical Training Facility in West Point.

The 15,000 square foot facility is part of the initiative by the city of West Point, Pathways to Tomorrow,  Northeast Community College, and Wayne State College to expand career and technical education in east central and northeast Nebraska.

Construction could be completed by December or January and the building could be open in early 2019.
